Universidad Hemisferios is a private higher education institution based in Quito whose mission is to provide an innovative education through teaching and research, by means of interpersonal and scientific dialogue.
Its academic work is directed towards the study and scientific promotion of Ecuador’s cultural, ethnic, geographical and biological diversity. Its teaching staff train professionals in an environment of ethical rigour, research and sustainability.

All its degree programmes incorporate the study of the humanities alongside the subject content specific to each course, within a model that combines disciplinary training with the development of the student’s own judgement.
Its activity is structured by an Institutional Development Strategic Plan 2025-2030, built around five pillars: the learning experience, academic talent, knowledge management, the integrated university campus and humanistic culture. The university also runs exchange programmes for students and academic staff with universities in Europe, the United States and Latin America.
